Cooling Towers

Many NYC commercial and multifamily buildings reject heat through a rooftop cooling tower and a condenser water loop. When a tower reaches the end of its life, the replacement has to be planned around crane picks, street permits and keeping the building running.

What we do

  • Removal of the existing tower and setting of the new tower, coordinated with the rigging contractor
  • Condenser water supply and return piping, valves and connections
  • Make-up water, drain and overflow connections
  • Pumps and connections to water source heat pumps and other loop equipment
  • Startup and coordination with the building’s water treatment vendor

Recent work

See our crew setting a new cooling tower at 200 West 24th St in Manhattan in the On the job section.

New York City requires cooling towers to be registered and maintained under its cooling tower rules. Building owners should confirm registration and inspection requirements with the city for any new or replaced tower.
